Record how many copies you actually need and how you will use them. A small run of letters, Flyers or postcards can be printed digitally; offset is available for larger quantities. There is no fixed number at which every job automatically changes method. Have the suitable production options compared for your size, quantity and requirements.
Paper and finishing are part of the choice
Choose paper to suit its use: a letter, promotional flyer and sturdy card need different presentation. Specify printing and finishing needs, such as folding, lamination or a separate brochure cover. The appropriate combination depends on the product. State special requirements in advance so paper, printing method and finishing can be considered together.
Specify personalisation and different versions
One promotional flyer used for everyone is a different job from letters with a different name or code for each recipient. For several versions, state copies per version and which data changes. This helps determine printing and processing. Choose paper and finishing to suit the use and discuss the full combination before production. For a postal mailing, the design and address file must also work together.
Supply the right file and discuss the job
Follow the PDF specifications on your chosen product page, regardless of printing method. Check size, page order, text and images. For brochures, also choose between the same paper for cover and inside or a separate thicker cover.
